Barb, it sounds like you have the species type of millefolium (may have
spelled that wrong but all my gardening books are downstairs) which is
supposed to be horribly invasive. Some of the others can get a little
carried away too, but my "Moonshine" and "Cerise Queen" are slow spreaders
after three or four years in the garden.
On the other hand I have never heard of a problem with Campanula glomerata
around here. In fact I am going to have to move mine to keep the Centaurea
montana from choking it out. Is it possible that the invasive glomerata is
actually some other species, mislablelled. There are a couple of campanulas
that make bindweed look easy to get rid of.
