Re: Crambe advice needed

I wish I could tell you for certain why yours is not blooming..But from
your description,your leaves are larger than mine,from that I would
guess that they are fertilized well or your soil is very rich,or at
least richer than mine.Mine are in sandy loam not too rich nor subject
to lots of water,but not drought conditions either..In short I can only
guess that mine is stressed just enough to put out the flowers (survival
and all that)..Cant remember for sure just when it first bloomed but
think it was 2nd or third year so there is hope yet for yours.You might
try running a spade around the plant about 12"away from the outside
leaves and see what happens(no it shouldnt hurt it)..Many do this to
lilac when all they get is foliage but no flowers.
