Re: Violets / troughs

Thanks, Paul... and others.
While we are on the subject of violets. Occurs to me these may make good
trough plants. What are some of the smallest and most daintiest of violets with
the best blooms? Any with exceptional foliage? How about foliage and blooms on the
same plant? All of you playing with troughs... what are your favorite plants to
make pleasing arrangements in troughs? She knows about and has begun her
collection of sedums.
My partner just received a custom made trough that is of pretty decent size.
About 18" by 30 inches long and 15 inches deep. Like a long oval. Really neat in
color and texture. Very well designed and constructed. (A present from
you-know-who for all the hard work she did in the nursery all year)
