Re: Asparagus Fern

Hi Marge and all the listers too of course.
Thought you might find it of interest that I am trialing a new (to
us)Asparagus,Asparagus verticillatus, reported to be very hardy, coming
from Siberia on to Iran.....
It was slow in growth which of course for a first year per.s is pretty
standard.
I have high hopes for it though.
I searched high and low to no avail for this one...
It was only through a regional forum that I learned of a source(make that
read 1only)...
Sorry gang this one does not do mail order and was/is? very limited in
availability thus far.....
Somewhere I found a pic.which then of course meant I just had to have it
:-)
If true to the pic I'm sure it will come available soon....

Glad to see the list is coming active now that is cooled off,it has read
28degF many mornings in a row thus far....
We'll soon be in the deep freeze here, and I for one will be grateful for
the time and hopefully the inclination to catch up on all that was
neglected over the season.;-)
Looking forward to all the education you guys bring my way..
And thanks Marge for keeping us informed as to was the Gov.intends
regarding seed import laws, now its up to us to complain!
P.S.check out Marges website that brings us all up to date on the
importation of seed laws and then let your representatives hear from you.
