Hi Donna,
I never got blooms, first one was eaten to the ground by the woodchuck, I picked up the replacement in the early fall. I grow several of the Centaurea family and all do well here.

Cheryl, Nice plant...How long did the blooms last? Interested to know how well it survives your winter too... DonnaI found Centaurea montanta "Gold Bullion", this year and love the color of the leaves, which seem to stay that color through the year. http://www.mobot.org/gardeninghelp/plantfinder/codem/X990.shtml Looks just like the color of the sweet potato vine.
