Re: still blooming despite the cold and a question

Hello Cheryl,
Went down to 26 here evening before last. That wrapped up a few things
that were in bloom, but some nice things remain in bloom here. Aconitum, or
monkshood, are still in bloom. Three species for 3 different stands and
variations on a theme of blue. Fall blooming anemone got a bit of brown on
the petals, but there are still out there. Several of those as well. The
obedient plant in vivid pink with the peony foliage behind it that has
turned color is great. Hardy cyclamen up under the old cedar is looking
great and the foliage is coming out behind the blooms. Gentiana saponaria is
just getting steam for a full run of bloom into winter. Loads of little
bottle-shaped blooms in sky blue.
