Gene, the first time I planted larkspur, I sprinkled the seed on a shallow
snow cover. The melting snow planted for me and I had a great crop. In
subsequent years, I did sprinkle the gathered seed about this time of year.
But if you'll let your plants go, they'll self-sow. I've had larkspur turn up
in the unlikeliest places.
