Gene,
I am going over my seed 'want' list for December and am looking at a Larkspur
or two to add and here is what is availabe:
Delphinium ajacis 'Dwarf hyacinth Reselected Mix' - 20 inches tall with
hyacinth type flowering with solid non-branching spikes that have double
flowers. Colors include white, dark Blue, Pink, carmine, rose and violet.
Delphinium consolida -
'Exquisite Series' ( Giant Imperial) - 4 feet tall spikes produce dense
amounts of flowers over a good length and these strains have good Basel
branching, with strong heavy stems. Very nice as a cut flower. Colors:
'Blue Bell' 'Blue Spire,' 'Carmine King,' 'Lilac Spire,' 'Salmon Beauty,'
'White King' and/or 'Mix' which has all the colors above plus a few more.
'QIS Series' - Produces 3 foot tall plants that have uniform double flowers
on nice sturdy stems, probably the best strains for cut flower production.
Comes in these selections of colors: 'Dark Blue, 'Light Blue, 'Light Pink,
'Lilac', 'Rose , 'Carmine' , 'White' And/or a 'Mix' with all the above c
olors.
'Sublime Series' - An improved Imperial type with branching, solid stems and
fully double flowers. Breed for green house or field cutting production.
Colors: 'Bicolor' (Dark blue and white), Bright Carmine, Bright Pink,
Brilliant Salmon, Azure Blue, Dark Blue, Pale Pink, White, Lilac, and/or
'Mix' -includes all the above plus a few more.
If you want to surface sow the seeds, you might want to get a few thousand
seeds, If any of the colors above sound interesting to you I can get them and
we can work out some kinda trade. But I need to know in the next two days
because I am trying to get this order off so I can have every thing done by
Christmas (have about 380 new items coming in and it takes time to package
every thing up and write up descriptions). The seeds are no that expensive
so if you have something interesting you do not need to trade for equal
amounts.
Paul
