Hello Colin,
Looks as though I have settled on a place for my larkspur seed to be
sown. On the western side of my garden where it will receive light form
about 3 pm onward into the setting sun. It will have goldenrod on one end
and run into delphinium on the other end. Peony will be to the rear and a
path to the front. Looks as though a goodly stand of white obedient plant
will have to find a new home to make room.
Speaking of.... some of best color I have seen in years was in my peony
foliage this fall. I hade some bronze, gold and mahogany-brown foliage with
a hint of green remaining in the stems of one garden hybrid peony in front
of the vivid pink obedient plant in bloom. Those kinds of companionships are
beyond description. Enough to inspire me to keep an eye out for other fall
foliage of note and begin photographing a new slide presentation and lecture
on the garden in fall.
