Well, thought I'd take advantage of this mild weather to get up some lights and greenery. Usually I do this in freezing weather and get it done as quickly as I can. Thought it would be great not to fight frozen soil to shove in the boughs etc. It was really nice out, took my time, added some lights, then added a few more lights, then added more greenery and so on. Even got the timers figured out - instructions have been lost for a few years. After dinner my husband took me out for a hot fudge sundae as a treat after working all day. When we got home it was dark out and the lights had come on ...Good Lord! We are certainly well lit! Bright is not quite the word I'm looking for. Snow can't come soon enough to soften this. So, tomorrow, its back out there, and reduce some of the exuberance. I think I provide entertainment for the neighbors...
While out buying greenery at the nursery this morning saw some epimediums various other goodies at 50 cents each. Is there any hope at all of them surviving? Temps are supposed to be fairly mild for a day or two. (There, thats my perennial question)
