Title: need ID
Every thing but the individual seeds in center of sepals.  I looked at my wildflower book last night and there is nothing like that there.

I agree - everything shouts "ROSE", but I have no clue.  Any idea of scale, overall size of plant?

A friend of mine sent me these photos for possible ID.  Sorry, no pix of the flower as he got it from another friend.  I’m pretty sure it’s a Zone 5 native and the sepals/leaves and pedicel remind me of something in the Rosaceae.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
