> I have been lurking for awhile and now have a question for list members. To soften and screen a chain link fence in a small area between our garage and the neighboring one I'd like to use a vine. There is a lot of shade here with some afternoon sun. I found a bignonia 'Tangerine Beauty' yesterday on sale at Wayside Gardens and wonder if it would do well here; anyone have any experience with these?
If it's 'Tangerine Beuaty', it's a cross vine rather than a trumpet vine
(sorry, botanical names are failing me)... you're right, it's a Bignonia
rather than a Campsis (sorry, had to think there).
I believe the *plant* would do OK in the shade but may not flower well
in that little amount of sun. However, I believe it would flower more
than a Campsis would under the same conditions, based on my observations
of these two plants in my area.
