Re: Another Dahlia Question

I would like to hear more about dividing the tubers. This is the first
year that I dug them up to store until next year. I was just going to
plant the whole thing like it was when I dug it up. Do you just rip them
apart? Is the eye bud easy to see? Also, I have been starting them from
seed in flats each year and they have never gotten too crowded before I
plant them in the ground. Usually they just have root growth, but
sometimes there is a tiny little tuber starting. By fall they have good
size tubers.

Dahlias should be divided into pieces, each containing an eye bud (or 2)
before replanting . This should make the clumps more manageable in size.
