Dear Christopher:
Make a master list of the year in two week increments. For each
segment of the garden figure out what will bloom when on a copy of your
list. Try to make each section always contain something of interest.
Then after you've worked segments by segments then figure out what
you can do to tie these segments together.
While you're working on paper try to plan plants that require the
same conditions together.
Keep working your plan. Keep your notes and site plans accessible;
you'll continue to use your notes for years.
Maybe someday you'll achieve your perfection. So far, some
sections of my garden do very well but tweaking your garden plan is
part of winter's pleasure.
