Let's keep this NZ response going!
Bronze haloragis is a beauty and a New Zealand native also. It does
nothing much except clump and sprawl into a mound something similar
to Artimisia "Powis Castle" but will not grow as tall if left alone.
Bronze haloragis is grown for its foliage which, in full sun is a
light chestnut brown with a touch of orange. The leaves are shaped
similar to verbena and are serrated along the edge. Stems are thin
(2-5mm) and the plant is best trimmed several times a year to keep it
in good shape. I believe it is frost hardy but I do not know to what
degree. Mine will be seeding this NZ summer and although I have no
idea of its germination requirements I will hapilly swap a few seeds
for oddball favourites.
Lara, Can you use a few dwarf sunflower plants?
