Everyone seems to be mapping out their new gardens for next spring. here's
what I have in mind. I have limited space for flowers around the house due
to the large number of trees. I want to grow more perennials and have
decides to put a flower garden around my vegetable garden. THere is
anywhere from a six to ten foot stretch of grass surrounding the veggie
patch now. I bought a Rogusa Rose this fall and stuck that in the ground.
I also scavanged about 20 pots of mums out of the dumpster at Wal-Mart.
They had not been watered properly and the flowers were all brown but the
foliage still showed signs of life. I dug up a patch and planted just to
get them health before the winter weather set in. I am planning of
transplanting these in the spring when I have some sort of design worked
out. I am going for the country garden look and will probably incorporate
some herbs in with the flowers.
My husband has a fit about all the plastic trays I save to start seeds in.
He claims if I ever used them all, I would have to have several acres of
ground in order to get them all planted. Guess I am just a packrat.
Any suggestions for a country garden? Tasha Tutor is my ideal when it comes
to this.
