One of my vines was overrunning my porch and I trimmed some ends off.
They looked nice so I stuck them in a vase of water and two days later
they were rooted. You might also try this for an interesting winter
house plant and maybe plant material next spring!

Talk about starting easily. A few weeks ago, I finally had to dig up
'Blackie' because I had to put in some rose bushes I got on sale. I just dug
it up and threw it on a pile of grass clippings in the back yard. It's all
over the place now. It should make a great house plant for the winter also.
Has anyone tried to eat the tubers (sweet potatoes). I wasn't sure if I had
used an insecticide on it or not so I didn't attempt to fix them. Seems like
I read somewhere that you could bake them.
