I have a very old New Dawn that I am sure was once in full sun, but now it
is in almost full shade. It gets at best 2 hours of very late afternoon sun
and it blooms its heart out. No pests or diseases. Wonderful dark, almost
glossy, foliage. Starting two new plants by layering and will sever them
this spring. One of those roses that doesn't need my constant attention.
