I cut up old mini blinds and use them as plant markers. Watch on trash
collection nights for free material ! I cut them 8-9" long, point one
end and round the top end.
I also use two at a time, back to back, writing the same info on both.
It does not seem to matter what one writes with, over time the light
fades the top one but the underside one is still legible. It also
provides greater strength.
I have found the permanent paint pens to be the most long lasting. A #2
lead pencil worked great also but the blind had to be sanded to provide
an adequate surface. Sharpies faded fast as did acrylic paint applied by
brush.
I've never used green mini blinds, but have used grey, blue, cream and
rose and the light faded all of them.
