Barbara;
	I attended a Six-state Plant Materials Conference in October at which one
of the speakers was:
		Dr. Dave Creech
		Director of Steven F. Austin Arboretum
		P.O. Box 13000
		Steven F. Austin University
		Nacogdoches, TX (intro didn't give zip code)

	He is one of the developers of the Texas Superstar plant program. He has
also developed quite a large garden area at the University that sounds like
it would be well worth the trip to see. That is on my list of must do
trips for next summer.
	Most of the presentation consisted of slides and my notes are very sketchy
but it would be worth the time and a stamp to write for his advice. They
have trial gardens in every part of Texas to test their Superstar
candidates.
