Cathy in Louisville, KY:
I live in Louisville, too. While we don't have the type of conditions that
Texas has, you will soon find out about our hot, dry summers and our very
high humidity. Living in a valley produces such variable and sometimes
harsh weather. What should feasibly grow well here, usually succumbs to
late frost in spring or the mildew of summer unless you baby it along.
Other years you'll have a wonderful season that makes you wonder about the
past.
I lust for delphiniums. It's definitely a hit-or-miss proposition here.
And I don't even want to go to the subject of hybrid tea roses....Good
luck!
