delphs

Margaret,

I fell in love with Delphs this summer too. And like yourself, mine died.
Yep, upon questioning, the wonderful NZ folks told me I needed exactly the
opposite soil in which I'd planted them. <smirk> Ohhh I kidded myself,
thinking, hey, wonders never cease, 'cause mine are blooming like crazy...
Yeah, right... they're now dead dead dead dead. <sigh> They looked so
nice, the lovely deep purple-blue mixed in with my blue hydrangeas and
borders of pink night scented stock. <sigh>

My spring budget now has bucks for delphs, as well as plans/money for soil
amending so I can give these gorgeous beauties the care and home they
deserve.

I've been busy with my landscaping software, and the amount we'd set aside
for the new lawn isn't quite as much as originally planned, as I keep
finding ways to "touch up" the yard with lovely beds, inevitably decreasing
the size of the needed lawn. <smirk>
