Garden gate closing hardware

Hi friends!

I was in a beautiful garden recently and there was this amazing contraption
that automatically closed the garden gate.  I believe it is a traditional
piece of hardware, made of a length of chain and a heavy weight in the
middle.  When you open the gate, the chain is extended and when you let the
gate go, the weight falls and pulls the chain down so the gate closes.  I
want one of these.... can anyone tell me what they are called and how to
make one or where to buy one?
