Hello Marilyn,
I may be completely wrong on this one, but is there any possibility that you
have a hepatica confused with a Ranunculus, or Buttercup? Do not remember the
species, but I do remember there is a Buttercup named Brazen Hussy. Have one in a
pot out there in the holding area somewhere sent to me by a friend. You would have
best luck locating this one in the Alpine groupies.
