Clematis Veronica's Choice

After viewing this clematis in a book, I rushed to find one.  The picture
was of a double pale lavender with darker edges.  When I got my plant and it
bloomed, it was a washed out grayish white.

Have you grown this plant?  Did I get a "lemon" or do I owe a big thanks to
the modern photography world for coloring the photo?  Do I dare hope it's a
maturity issue and once in the ground it will improve?
