I have had two L.cardinalis 'Queen Victoria' growing contentedly in 10" pots
for two years waiting for planting into our pond. I kept the pots in
dishes filled with water. However, they are supposed to be tender and are
now in the greenhouse, where I kept them last winter, keeping the soil
moist. I have another one planted in the garden and am going to see if
this one survives. Mine have grown to about 3'. (The slugs love them.)
