My Lobelia syphilitica seeds itself around like mad.  The best performer for
me this year (drought and all) seeded itself in a wall and bloomed its heart
out without and additional watering from me.  Go figure.

L. cardinalis, on the other hand, just won't winter over for me.  A pink
cultivar does, though.
