RE: centaurea hypoleuca


Susan,  I have had one plant tucked into one spot for 2 years with no babies
appearing (Darn!)  Of course part of the problem is probably that bed is so
heavily planted not even Dandylions seed in there!  The big dark blue
species Centaurea self seeds, but it is such a pretty color, who cares?
Maybe that is the one Penny was referring to, or there is a C. dealbata
rosea also - maybe that is the one?

Marilyn -- is this invasive at all?  I remember Penny Vogel mentioning to me
that she had some pink type of perennial centaurea that she had to "wage
war" on.  I love the idea of it with nepeta and baptisia.  Sounds darling.
