Hi Sophie,

You said that your small clumps of sedum are doing fine and didn't flop.
Listen to what they are telling you and divide that big, floppy one.  Just
cut some of the outer parts off with your shovel and move.  You can probably
get several clumps from the one big one.  All will do fine next year.  I
find that if the soil is too fertile and/or in too much shade, the sedum
does flop.  Since it is so late in the season, you might wait until spring
to divide these.
