The name is kolkwitzia. I have two. One was here when we moved in and
the other was given to me. There are a couple across the street also.
My older one is about 10 feet tall with a twelve foot spread. It is
fountain shaped. The other one has been in place for about teo or twelve
years and is not quite as large. They seem to grow quite quickly and
require little care.
