I think maybe I would pot them up instead of putting them in the
ground. I'm wondering if they would have enought time to get
established now before the ground does freeze. at least in a pot they
would have a better chance.
I have potted up a few of my things that I aquired late, and buried them
in my compost pile on the south side or just locate them where you are
sure they won't freeze, like a garage or a basement.
I think they would have a better chance of survival. not being in your
zone, someone else might have a better idea of what to do
