Susan, Campanula takesimana is pretty vigorous, but very long blooming (all
summer). It is easy to pull up what you don't want almost anytime of year.
I have kept mine confined to a moderate space by being ruthless in the
spring. It is a pretty companion to Chelone 'Hot Lips', Penstemons &
Thalictrums. Marilyn
