Hello folks,
Are you all still out there? the list has been so quiet.
Have any of you chanced upon any really good bargains this fall? I we
went to Lowes this morning and a fellow was loading his truck with
liriope and lilly--among other things-he had so many that he was going to
make a return visit to claim the remainder. Of course he had purchased
all the had of these two items, but I found five calla lily, and five
columbine for $1 each gallon container. They had a lot of Hosta for $l
but I have sufficient.
other thoughts; how many of you are waging the annual war with cleaning
up the falling leaves? hubby rides his green machine with grass and
leave pick up around the property EVERY day, and still there are more
to clean up by evening sure does fill up our compost bin. I use every
shred of compost on my perennial beds in the spring and I rarely need to
water.
