Re: fall sales

Hi Dee Ann and all,
I am new and haven't posted much. I agree with you Dee Ann that Lowes has
some great sales. Most of my garden is Lowes markdowns or trades that I have
done on http://www.gardenweb.com. Most times the bargain plants only need
some TLC. I picked up 12 Clematis this year at Lowes in gallon pots. That
was a great deal. All but 1 has made it. I also get my mulch and top soil
there. I buy the torn bags. Top soil was .25 cents for 40# and mulch was 1/2
price for a torn bag. Hey why not, right? They also will be marking down
the bulbs soon. You have to go through them but for almost nothing a
package, why not give them a try. Last year I bought some Allium bulbs and
tulips. I love tulips and so do the critters. By getting them at a great
price it doesn't hurt so much when they get eaten. It was not the critters
that got them last year but a bad hail storm. Hopefully, they will do better
this coming year.

Happy Gardening!

TODAY'S FOOD FOR THOUGHT...

"The CLINTONS have been cleared in the Whitewater case....
Cost of the investigation? $56,000,000.
The American public's peace of mind at knowing there was no wrongdoing in a
1973 Arkansas land deal? Priceless."
