Tulips here are immune to hail. That's because the deer eat them to the
ground before they ever open. Hyacinths too. Solution: Plant daffodils.
None of the critters will touch them. AND, unlike tulips, daffodils become
stronger and more floriferous every year, while tulips tend to get weaker
every year.
