I attending a "fall planting" lecture a few weeks ago where the speaker
said that the Dutch growers dig up and store bulbs as soon as they go
dormant. He said this avoids the bulbs splitting during the fall and
winter dormancy. He's been there and seen them doing it, so I have to
assume it's true.
Maybe we have List members in the Netherlands (?).
