The principles on clay existence are new to me. I have encountered clay
here and there. I have always lived on the East Coast and clay soils in
gardens is much work for the gardener who wants friable soil.
It is really an advantage to have you on a mail list, Paul. It makes sense
when given thought from beginning to end of the indigenous plant group and
that group's environment.
I read a book on "biomes", located us and am still trying to understand this
concept.
