Nancy, my room could be used as living space and that was our intent for
resale value. You could add skylites which would help with the light. My
skylites open which helps with the air exchange & circulation in spring &
fall. I also have a door to the outside which helps with that also. We have
french doors to the family room because we thought in the extream heat of
summer the room would be difficult to cool. This was one of the hottest
summers we have experieced and we never closed the doors. The vertical
blinds took care of the sun. You will not have this problem on the NE side
of your home.
What is your flooring? Where are located?
