OT? - Garden room/Conservatory plans

Perennial friends - I plan to convert an 8x16 foot space (separated from
my dining room by a glass-paned wall) into a garden room.  No chairs,
lots of plants.  Probably of the temperate variety including orchids and
ferns.

All the literature speaks to new construction and all glass
construction.  I have a roof that will stay and unfortunately, it faces
NE.  I will have to provide a lot of artificial light, some heat and
water and a fan.  All that is doable and fun, but I would love to hear
from anyone who has tried it and also ask if anyone knows of a forum
where this kind of project is discussed.
