Arnold's Promise Witchhazel

It probably is grafted because the nurseries need big plant fast. I
thought the one I dug up from a friend's house was grafted but the stems
had the right color of bloom. He had had the plant a long time though
and we broke 2 shovel handles getting the large plant. I cut it back
trying to compensate for the root loss and now have rotten spaces in the
tree. Wish I had not cut it back because the tree takes all the heat
and drought in stride and keeps on blooming it's heart out. You should
hear the bees pollinating it in February. I do have a grafted PrimaVera
and have to keep the graft from taking over(not pretty blooms either on
the graft).
