poppy seed bought at the grocery store and selling them. I don't know whether
these have been treated so they don't germinate or what.
As for planting poppy seed, I usually do it in the winter when there is some
light snow cover--I sprinkle the seed right on the snow. When the snow melts
the seed settles into the earth and germinates in the spring. I've had great
success with this method with both Flanders and California poppies.
