Re: salvia for shade

I was glad to read this message. I did not know that Salvia of any kind would live and thrive in the shade. This is good to know, because I have so much shade and have an awful time finding plants that will do anything in the shade. which brings up a question that I have been meaning to ask for days. I have Columbine seed (lots of them) given to me by a friend and I don't know if now is a good time to plant or should I wait until early spring. We are having some rainy weather right now. the temps have been in the 60's and 70's, but according to our weatherman we are to expect a cold front to come our way by the end of the week. suppose to be 38* Friday night and 34* on Sat. night. some of you might say that isn't cold, but for NE Mississippi, that's kind of cool. So should I plant my Columbine seed? Thanks
