Re: Happy fall

Excuse me for chuckling....

II am sitting at my computer in shorts and bare feet. All the doors and windows are open. It will still be several months until my gardening sandals are replaced by my gardening clogs. The canna are blooming their merry heads off while the bananas are unfurling their most recent round of leaves. Winter veggie starts are ready to go into the ground but I hate to pull out the tomatoes as they still have a good two months of production left.

Oh yeah... and the figs are ripe!

Happy Fall

Nan (in San Diego area)

Let's see I have orchids, 5 ft tall Pachypodiums, large banana trees an 8ft
x 8ft frangipani as well as the tropical plants that are planted in the
ground to pot up and bring in. That doesn't even count the tropical bulbs
and the frost tolerant ferns and succulents to bring in. I also have to
finish getting the greenhouse ready. Since it is going to get to 28
tonight, I guess I need to get started outside. My RO unit needs to come
in. Of course I have a bad cold today. All of the streetlights in the
neighborhood were removed so I can't continue working outside in the dark.
At least it's not raining. Why do I have this headache? I have been lucky
the last few years but my week off for finishing up is not for another week.
I will have some help after 5:00
