Marilyn, I've always believe alternative techniques are much better for
chronic problems. Western medicine is great for trauma situations, but not
for on-going concerns.
BTW, three or four years ago in very early spring, I was out in the garden
when I realized I had two or three very itchy/painful bites on the back of
my neck. They and the entire area around got more and more sensitive and
for the next two weeks I wore silk scarves wrapped around my neck because I
couldn't bear the touch of any other material. After about two weeks I got
a very bad case of hives on my chest, and eventually the whole thing cleared
up. I figured out that it must have been a spider bite and that I must have
gotten it in bed, because though I'd been working in the garden, it was much
too early for any insects to be out. I'm glad I didn't know much about
Brown Recluse spiders while that was going on or I'd have been ready to
close up shop!
