I have "Alma" as well and while I love the color, the flowers never seem to open quite as wide as the common purple varieties. Has anyone else noticed this?Alma Polshke is red, however, not a Cardinal Red, but a very satisfactory New England Aster' Jean Crump
Also, while we are on the subject, can anyone recommend a nice pink (softer than "Alma") cultivar?
