Alma Polshke is red, however, not a Cardinal Red, but a very satisfactory
New England Aster'
Jean Crump
I have "Alma" as well and while I love the color, the flowers never
seem to open quite as wide as the common purple varieties. Has
anyone else noticed this?
Also, while we are on the subject, can anyone recommend a nice pink
(softer than "Alma") cultivar?
I had (operative word is had) one - it didn't over winter well.
