Al, I have labeled my daffodil plantings for many years by using my database
to do a mail merge in Word to print on clear Avery labels. I then apply the
labels to the zinc-plate on wire legs labels I buy from Eon Industries. I
print them on a regular laser printer and they've lasted for years. The ones
that face east and catch the rising sun seem to be the shortest-lived, but even
those still 5+ years.
