Re: Thermal label maker--And blind slats

I use the blind slats only for short term items.  I have a plant sale in
April and another smaller one in August.  I use these blinds to mark each
pot stored over winter.  I have about 400 ready for next April and by then
many plants  will be indistinguishable from each other.  The blinds are good
enough for that long.  I never use blind markers for anything I put in the
ground.  Always Eon Rose markers with laminated tape for that.  Also, it's
important when using blinds that they aren't dirty.  Nothing sticks for long
on dirty blinds.  I buy new ones at WaMart for under $4 and cut them up.

I got the impression Al might be doing cuttings or selling small plants and
short term labels might be sufficient for that.  But if he's looking for
thermal, he probably wants permanent.
