One other thing. Never store it on the north side of the house. Soil will freeze... If there is a deep lip on pot it will then hold snow/water on frozen soil unless pot is tipped on side, and/or covered with insulation of some sort... Here in zone 5 Indiana, pots like yours need to be insulated. Wrapping in bubble wrap can help. Sinking the pot in the ground might work but what sort of drainage does your pot provide? I have potted perennials in the fall for 20 years now and huddled them in a group and thrown leaves over the top and covered the perimeter with insulation. I put the least hardy in the center of the group. Works pretty well. > > Kitty > > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-perennials@hort.net [o*@hort.net] On > Behalf Of Cheryl Isaak > Sent: Sunday, October 09, 2016 7:44 AM > To: perennials@hort.net > Subject: overwintering pots question > > > Hello All, > > This year, I gave into Kent Beauty oregano - which I've lost before. > But it is so so lovely > > Potted it this time in a pot with other perennials which should be > more hardy.
