Re: Thanks hardpan/now clematis

I have two new Jackmanni clematis which are from Spring Hill.  I am
assuming that since they mailed them to me now, I can plant them.  I am
in Zone 6 (Imperial, MO).  Should I put them in the ground?  Should I
mulch heavily?  Should I put them in a pot over the winter and plant in
the Spring?  Any help is appreciated.  Here is hoping that I never
encounter hardpan.
